OVER 65 YEARS OLD AND STILL GOING STRONG!

A lot has changed in the 65 years that Monasterevin Motors has been servicing the needs of the people of Kildare and Laois but the ethos of the company has always remained constant: ‘To listen to our customers and their requirements, and to ensure they received a personal, friendly and efficient service that they would be happy to recommend.’ It’s this ethos that has seen the dealership last the testament of time and prosper, even through some of the toughest economic climates and ensured that Monasterevin Motors has become the Used Car Specialists for the local community. When Monasterevin Motors was established in 1954 by Joe Fitzpatrick and Michael O’Reilly, it was originally a business based on repairs of agricultural machinery with the occasional car, as cars at that time were a rare commodity.

A few years later Joe Fitzpatrick acquired the full company after he married and in 1985 due to the business growing, it was decided to separate the Motor from the Agricultural business and a new company ‘Monasterevin Motors’ was established in separate premises.

Today Joe and his wife Mary are still actively involved on a daily basis. The dealership is now under the management of Liam Fitzpatrick and has been going from strength to strength. They also own and run Crossings Motor Centre in Naas, a Toyota dealership and a sister company to Monasterevin Motors.

A key aspect to the success of Monasterevin Motors has always been their staff and the relationships they have forged with customers. Many customers travel from far and wide and many customers come from families, who for generations have always purchased their cars from Monasterevin Motors as its more than a dealership, it’s a part of the community.

It’s the customer focused no nonsense and honest approach of all the staff that have kept the business thriving. Although Monasterevin Motors have big plans for the future, it will always be focused on the simple ethos that has stood the test of time and ensured it has prospered throughout the years.

Monasterevin Motors is a part of the Lidon Group which is a group of sister associated companies owned and run by members of the Fitzpatrick family who have been in business since 1954.
